FAQ for Patients

How long does each treatment plan take?

Every treatment is highly specified to each patient, but on average each aligner should be worn 20-22 hours a day with an average treatment of 6 months.

Can I get Tru-Smile Aligners directly from you?

No, because we firmly believe that dental check-ups are extremely important, especially during your alignment treatment. Your doctor will not only provide guidance throughout the aligning, but with their expertly taken dental impressions we will be able to create aligners with the utmost precision, so that your treatment will be as fast and comfortable as possible.

My aligners do not seem to be fitting very well, what should I do?

Contact your dentist. They will be able to figure out what exactly happened and how to get your treatment back on track.

My aligners are cracking. Should I just continue wearing them until my next check-up?

No, contact your dentist. Breakage is rare as long as you follow the patient care instructions you received with your first pair of aligners. However, if the aligners do break, your dentist will be able to help you, so that you may continue with treatment.

I think I might be having an allergic reaction to my aligners, is this normal?

Although rare, it is possible for patients to be allergic to the aligner material. Immediately discontinue use and contact your provider.
